Actalent Quality Engineer in Mcconnelsville, Ohio

Description:

MIBA Sinter USA specialize in the development & manufacturing components within powder metallurgy applications. Working alongside OEM,s and Tier 1 & 2 suppliers. Developing high-precision, high-strength parts produced using special process technology. Components are used in car engines, transmissions and steering systems, and for the electrification of passenger vehicles. Responsibilities - Active exchange of information with other BU’s within the Sinter Group network - Establish and strengthen personal relationships with the customer’s and suppliers quality representatives. - Understand and attend customer quality audits. - Understand customer quality systems for customers and suppliers. - Perform internal process audits (including suppliers). - Processing of supplier or customer complaints - Active participation on supplier assessment and on monitoring of corrective actions resulting from assessment. - Manage Root Cause Analysis and Corrective/ Preventive Action for internal and external discrepant material and business problems. - Check drawings in terms of measurement issues. - Procurement and approval of measuring equipment. - Participate in PFMEA’s reviews. - Control of Non-Conforming Material. - Use Miba Systems: QSYS, IMS, etc.# - Drive Corrective Action for customers and suppliers. - Insure compliance with AITF 16949, ISO 14001. - Participate in preparing quality documentation to customer requirements (process flow chart, capability studies, inspection reports, etc.) - Define and implementation of Continuous Improvement activities. - Alert function in IMS for Customer Specific documentation changes. - Support employees in the implementation of safety-related aspects. - Motivate employees to report unsafe situations and demonstrate their own safety-related behavior.

MUST HAVES » Bachelor's Degree required » 2/3 years of Quality experience coming from the automotive industry - GDT&T, read prints - Root cause, Corrective/Preventive Action NICE to HAVE - Knowledge of VDA6.3, IATF16949 - Automotive Core Tools: IATF, 8D, PDCA, A Disqualifier - Job hoppers ( 4/5 jobs within 5 years)
