Optum Supply Chain Analyst Buyer in Marysville, Washington
JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision, this position is critical in developing and providing data analysis to assist all functions of TEC’s supply chain. This position supports contract negotiations by providing data analytics, monitoring contract compliance, analyzing contract utilization and formulating recommendations. This position partners with Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) and/or manufacturers to resolve contract related issues. This position works with various sources to obtain product information and investigates potential contract opportunities as directed. This position is responsible for providing financial reporting and budget analysis as required.

20% Importing, cleaning, transforming, validating and/or modeling data with the purpose of understanding or drawing conclusions from the data for decision making purposes
20% Perform advanced analyses to make data driven decisions on sourcing that support the goals of the TEC supply chain
20% Performs advanced level buying tasks to support Request for proposal (RFP’s)
10% Ensuring the accuracy of reported information and the data integrity of supply
5% Participation in calculation, validation and updating of cost savings
5% Places orders with vendors and follows up
4% Assists in maintaining optimum economic levels of supplies within the Clinic
4% Works with and monitors reports on GPO website to ensure contracts are signed and loaded appropriately with distributors
4% Enforces product standardization programs
2% Responsible to Accounting staff for any discrepancies and/or invoice concerns and resolving issues in a timely manner
2% Processes Requisitions, reviews approval authority and problem solves in relation
to these duties
2% Assists in coordination with Clinic supervisors the purchasing of supplies that
are not inventoried

Ensures confidentiality of patient information following HIPAA guidelines and TEC policies.
Attends training to meet requirements of the job position and as needed or mandated by TEC policies, Div. of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH), OSHA, L&I and other state/federal regulations.
Has regular and predictable attendance.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : Note that these requirements are representative, but not all-inclusive, of the knowledge, skill, and ability required to perform this job.
Knowledge: Advanced knowledge working with Microsoft Office suite, Cognos Report Studios, Crystal Reports, SharePoint, and Infinium. Strong understanding of lean principles (such as inventory turns and process improvement) and can apply them to supply chain management decisions to enhance quality while being cost effective.
General knowledge of medical supplies. Good written and verbal communications required.

Education : Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years Pricing analysis of finished goods comparing like and different Unified Ordering Model (UOMs ), experience with report writing software, experience using and inventory control system and maintaining master files, purchasing, and inventory management.
