Role and Responsibilities

Currently seeking a Regional Sales Director reporting to the VP of the Retail Field Organization who will be responsible for delivering incremental growth in revenue and market share in multiple retail channels. The RSD will be responsible and accountable for both sales forecasting & sales strategies both short-term and long-term. The RSD, in partnership and collaboration with multiple functional departments, will develop and lead long-term, and mid- term localized sell out strategies and tactics to facilitate the implementation and execution of GTM plans, Sales Generation Program and field activities; ensuring / providing the tools and resources to enable the achievement of individual and divisional targets. Leveraging of discretionary MDF budget to drive sell-out. The Regional Sales Director must provide critical insights into market place trends by validating, analyzing and interpreting a broad range of business related data including competitor pricing and incentive, customer and brand preferences. Must be credible operator, pragmatic strategist, team builder, collaborator and proven executer. A respected leader who is a catalyst in the organization that can organize, orient and motivate large teams. Rigorously builds and develops a high performing team by leveraging capabilities of their team to create synergies that optimize results

Essential Duties & Responsibilities


• 15-20 years in retail telecommunications sales/sales management and 5-8 years in regional leadership

• Extensive and proven track record of developing and leading sales strategy tied to revenue generation

• Exceptional business acumen to forecast and build long-term sales programs and marketing programs

• Regional sales leadership working across National Retailers and/or National Carrier Operators required

• Extensive experience communicating cross-functionally, domestically, and up & down an organization both internally as well as with external customers/clients

• Strong track record of people management including but not limited to development, coaching, performance management, and organizational design

• Excellent data and analytical capabilities to translate and synthesize market data to support the development of long-term and mid-term sales strategies.

• Synthesize current data intelligence (performance management) to create gap management strategy: Work in partnership with field team to ensure generation of localized plans

• Self-starter and willingness to take initiative and drive relevant revenue growth strategies across competing and at times challenging customers

• Experience collaborating with and influencing senior executives across large matrixed organizations

• Bachelor’s degree and advanced degrees strongly preferred

• Ability to lead and develop strategic sales plans derived from insights and market data both hyper localized and on a national scale.

• Navigate and influence both internal and external customers and partners to drive channel and market specific strategies that drive incremental revenue growth

• Through acute business acumen have the ability to translate and effectively communicate business results & develop strategic sales programs

• Lead effectively, consistently, and efficiently an organization of 100+ employees both internally and with 3pl partners

• Navigate and influence both internal and external customers and partners to drive channel and market specific strategies that drive incremental revenue growth

• Leverage insights to drive development and execution of both National and localized sales programs/strategies

• Ability to translate and effectively communicate executive level business results & develop strategic sales programs

• Ability to adjust and pivot in a dynamic environment and demonstrate mental and business agility

• Unimpeachable integrity, viewed by C-level executives as utterly trustworthy

• Demonstrate strong leadership and influencing skills with senior level leaders and teams

• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Sophistication in communications, interpersonal relations and diplomacy.

• Relationship management across all levels of an organization

• Superior judgment, team management, budgeting, presentation skills, and the ability to work under continual deadline pressure required

• Ability to work across organizational boundaries to build alignment and drive closure on issues

• Comfort with ambiguity, able to navigate through uncertain situations and drive for clarity

• Experience handling time-sensitive and confidential business information/challenges

• Travel 50%-70% required
