Tapestry Solutions Boeing Global Services BGS is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Maryland Heights, MO .

In this role you will develop, document and maintain software requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for the Weapon Planning Software (WPS) Mission Planning software product. The individual’s primary responsibility involves developing and maintaining C# software and integrating software components into a fully functional software system. The individual will support software project management, and may develop, select, tailor and deploy software processes, tools and metrics. The individual will follow company software standards and processes and will follow the SAFe Agile software development methodology. The individual will provide software engineering guidance and mentor junior level engineers on the team.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Participate in Agile scrum team responsible for development of the WPS product

  • Develop and integrate software in C#

  • Mentor junior software engineers

  • Lead implementation of new features

  • Investigate and resolve software problem reports / bugs

  • Update status of assigned User Stories & Tasks in Azure DevOps on a weekly basis

  • Support project management in facilitating the increment and iteration planning meetings

This position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite at the listed location option.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with C# development

  • Experience with Visual Studio

  • Experience with .NET Framework

  • Experience with the Agile software development methodology

  • Experience with Azure DevOps (formerly known as Team Foundation Server (TFS)) for project tracking and CM

  • Experience leading software development teams

Preferred Qualifications ( Desired Skills / Experience ):

  • Experience with the use of NuGet packages

  • Experience with SAFE Agile

Typical Education & Experience :

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor’s) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master’s and typically 7 or more years’ related work experience.)
