The Food & Nutrition Services Associate works under the supervision of the area Manager performing various aspects of food service tasks covering the entire scope of services offered in the Food & Nutrition Services Department. The Food & Nutrition Services Associate will perform various requirements for patient meal & nourishment service, café service, any outside meal programs provided, as well as performing catering services throughout the campus as needed. The Food & Nutrition Services Associate is responsible for accurately documenting patient diets and allergies while implementing corresponding menu restrictions accordingly. This individual performs a variety of tasks, covering multiple areas in the department during their shift.
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Completion of sophomore year in high school.
Preferred/Optional: High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Required: Completion of Food Service Sanitation Learning Module within one year of hire. Demonstrated ability to read and write English language. Demonstrated ability to complete basic arithmetic calculations, tell time and complete simple measurements.
Preferred/Optional: One year in food service and customer service experience.
