Danaher Corporation Quality Control Analyst - Microbiology in Marlborough, Massachusetts

We are looking for a Quality Control Analyst - Microbiology to work with our expert QC Microbiology team. Do you have a passion for Quality Control? Then we would love to hear from you.

What you’ll do

  • Collects routine daily, weekly and monthly EM samples in pharmaceutical cleanrooms. Sample types include air viable, surface viable, and air nonviable monitoring

  • Collects compressed gas samples to ensure they are free of microbial and chemical contamination

  • Collects purified water samples to ensure it meets the claimed water quality

  • Performs TOC, conductivity, nitrates, endotoxin, bioburden and other microbiological testing.

  • Perform general lab support activities, including but not limited to, making reagents, equipment maintenance, etc.

  • Performs assigned sampling tasks carefully and on schedule according to standard operating procedure and manager instructions.

  • Provide microbiological input into excursion investigations.

  • Participate extensively in high-level quality systems programs (Deviations, CAPA, etc.)

  • Generate and revise SOPs, investigations, trend reports and other documentation as needed

  • Other duties, as assigned.

    Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in either; Microbiology, Biology or related field

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in Quality Control for the biopharmaceutical industry

  • Must be a team player with integrity and concern to quality

  • Self-starting motivated person who possesses good interpersonal skills and who is able to effectively interact with other departments.

  • Prior experience working and maintaining excellent aseptic technique

  • Ability to read and interpret professional journals and technical procedures, write test protocols and reports; communicate test analysis and results.

  • Mature skills implementing microbial identification systems.
