The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a People Relations Leader, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Determining appropriate interventions needed to identify and evaluate business and people- issues and opportunities by investigating, researching, collaborating and coordinating with employees and leaders.

  • Leading and developing employee relations and people relations programs, policies and procedures aligned with key business and people priorities.

  • Leading, teaching, coaching, and supporting training and education that fosters alignment with the Company’s code of conduct and key procedures, policies, or standards.

  • Supporting efforts and providing coaching to managers and employees and guides them towards appropriate resources that helps ensure compliance with Company requirements.

  • Implementing key programs in partnership with various functional partners through education and on-going monitoring of the changes.

  • Supporting client organizations and working to enhance understanding and application of 3M programs, policies and other initiatives that support employee engagement, compliance and other job expectations.

  • Collaborating on cross-functional projects to support business needs and to meet quality and timelines.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

  • Ten (10) years of Human Resources experience in a private, public, government or military environment

  • Experience in conducting workplace investigations and applying consistent application of human resources policies

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Master's degree in Human Resources or related degree

  • Proficient written and verbal communication

  • Program and policy development experience

  • Project management experience

  • Facilitation experience

  • Employee and leadership coaching experience

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
