We share common desires with these brands: to make the world a better, safer and cleaner place.JOB SUMMARYThe Sr EHS Specialist is responsible forcoordinating, implementing, improving and verifying programs that support our environmental, health and safety systems.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESManages programs that support Jabils environmental and safety goals. Areas of responsibility may include accidents, emergency response, hazardous communications, radiation safety, industrial trucks, personal protective equipment, exposureassessment, job hazard analysis, process safety review, machine guarding, hazardous energy isolation,air pollution,waste water management, water pollution control, environmental sustainability, hazardous waste,DOT hazardous materials rules,or other areas regulated by the United States Environmental Protection Agency, the United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration, or thePipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration.Maintains record keeping systemsConducts training in all Environmental, Health, .and. Safety topicsConducts inspections and audits and recognizes hazardsParticipates in and leads emergency responses and addresses employee Environmental, Health, .and. Safety concernsImplements Environmental, Health, .and. Safety measures, programs, and proceduresMaintains metrics and KPIs, prepares technical reports, performs sampling and monitoring, and issue hot work permits and confined space permits.Develops and maintains programs to support regulatory requirements and Jabil goals, by:o Analyzing federal, state and local legal requirements and developing programs to support complianceo Ensuring persons involved in programs are competent and addresses issues to increase compliance and conformance with company expectationso Documenting programs by writing, revising and maintaining work instructions, procedures, visual aidso Maintaining records of program as required by law and internal procedureso Determining effectiveness of programs through the collection and analysis of data and developing and implementing corrective actions based upon analysiso Prepares reports for submission to Corporate or regulatory bodieso Inspects and audits for complianceInteracts with internal and external customers, including facilitating government inspections, and providing information to government inquiriesIntegrates all activities into the environmental, and health and safety management systems, monitoring record keeping and reportingDevelops solutions to environmental or safety concernsServes as a subject matter technical resource to all levels of the organization in assigned areaSupports unassigned EHS programs as necessaryAdheres to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policyMay perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSAssociates or Bachelors degree in Occupational safety and health, environmental safety and health, safety or environmental management, and safety or environmental science preferred. (ABET Accredited)Minimum five (5) years experienceAssociate Safety Professional, Occupational Health and Safety Technologist, or Certified Safety Professional preferredA basic knowledge of industrial hygiene (IH) and engineering principles, understanding of the theory behind machine guarding and Lockout/Tagout electrical safety, knowledge of regulatory compliance laws, and computer skills.Jabil, including its subsidiaries, is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants f
