Your Role and Responsibilities
Systems Programmer-z/OS Network
This specialty contains the skills a z/OS systems engineer has to have regarding mainframe networking, printing, connectivity and file transfer.
Identify JES3 start options and describe the two networking schemes in z/OS: SNA and IP.
Establish SNA sessions, and TCP/IP as a physical file system in UNIX System Services.
Implement and start a local VTAM instance to provide the base for SNA applications such as TSO. Implement and start TSO.
Start TCPIP stack and check accompanying messages.
Candidates need to speak Spanish.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
4+ years of experience
Key Skills
Network connectivity options supported by z/OS and the z/OS Communications Server for the SNA and IP services.
Willingness to work in an ever-changing environment

Summary of Activities:
Configure z/OS SNA, TCP/IP and OSA services for Customer service access
Involved in the analysis, design and implementation of network environment associated with z/OS.
Enablement SNA and TCP/IP services (tn3270, FTP, SMTP, SNMP, routing …), and connectivity among LPARs.
Establish SNA sessions, and TCP/IP as a physical file system in UNIX System Services.
Implement and start a local VTAM instance to provide the base for SNA applications such as TSO. Implement and start TSO.
Start TCPIP stack and check accompanying messages.
On-Call Duty support
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience with configuration and troubleshooting of IP/Communications Server.
Understanding of large-scale complex systems from a reliability perspective
zOS, DB2, TCP/IP, JCL, REXX.
You’ll work in an Agile, collaborative environment to deploy, configure, and maintain systems, which may include software installations, updates, and core services.
