Responsibilities

  • Overall day-to-day management of financial reporting accuracy and on-time processing of client information

  • Coordinate with India Associates on progress and questions

  • More complex review of G/L for any missing transactions and overall accuracy

  • Review and approval of account classifications

  • Management of weekly “Open Items” and “To-Be-Coded” lists

  • Balance sheet review

  • Supervise India Specialists’ work

  • New associate assigned “buddy” and orientation manager

  • Preparation of initial/draft Management Reporting Package each month

  • Adjusting journal entries and accrual entries

  • Month end close

  • Prepare KPIs/Metrics

  • Field client calls

  • Review associate work

  • Client Procedures Manual – ongoing monthly maintenance/updates

  • Audit readiness - Review accountant-prepared workpapers

  • Audit readiness - Prepare more complex workpapers and schedules

  • Client staff augmentation

  • Participate in Technology team (conversion & setup or implementation)

  • Participate in special projects/committees

  • Help develop training

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, MBA Encouraged

  • 2 to 4 years of relevant experience

  • Maintain Certifications (QBO (Basic and Advanced) and Intacct, if applicable. Professional certification (CPA, CMA) Encouraged

  • Experience managing smaller clients, participate with larger clients, initiate taking on new work from the next level (not delegated), community involvement, master responsibilities and skills of position, identify firm services

  • Outcomes and contributions to the firm are measured and the focus rather than an expectation of hours
