CUNA MUTUAL GROUP Product Tax Analyst in MADISON, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Product Tax is a compliance function supporting the enterprise in product tax regulatory compliance and tax information reporting. We have diverse experience in product design through issuance of tax information reporting statements to our customers. We engage wide-range of initiatives to assist the enterprise in risk mitigation.(Open to remote candidates within the US) Job Responsibilities: Primary process owner for daily tax operational functions including, federal and state tax withholding compliance practices and controls Provide support to business partners in related areas of transactional research, forms review, tax reporting issues, unclaimed property and claims. Cross functional support for corporate company tax functions as required. Support areas will include sales and use tax reporting, premium tax, and federal and state income tax returns and estimated payments. Assists Sr. Manager with tax technology architecture. Job Requirements: Bachelor degree with a concentration in related area or Associate's degree Minimum of three (3) years of tax reporting or accounting experience. General understanding of life and property casualty insurance industries General understanding of tax reporting concepts, practices and procedures. Basic understanding of Chapters 3, 4, 61 regulations for withholding, securities, State and IRS filing requirements for Forms 1099, 5498, 945, 1042, 1042S. Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications to produce correspondence, electronic communication and maintain spreadsheets and databases. Prior project management experience Effective oral and written communication skills, with all organizational levels. Learn how to research tax technical questions and issues. Demonstrated efficiency and flexibility in performing detailed transactional tasks in a fast-paced work environment with frequent interruptions, changing priorities, and deadlines.
