As Product Manager, you will be responsible for developing and translating the business and service vision into a strategy and product roadmaps to drive customer success, create a competitive advantage, and accelerate growth and efficiency across Life Sciences Solutions. As a member of this team you will enable Thermo Fisher Scientific to better serve our customers and drive growth.
You will translate the business and service vision into an education services strategy and roadmap to drive contract attachment, create a competitive advantage, and accelerate growth and efficiency across Life Sciences Solutions
You will identify opportunities, business cases, and create project proposals for new education services experiences based on the latest web, mobile, analytics, and LMS tools
You will work with software development, IT, product management and marketing teams to facilitate development of new educational experiences
You will define and execute global go-to-market strategy for migrating internal and external customers to the new digital experience
You will standardize GSS SKU & product hierarchy setup, establish list price strategy recommendations & discount guidelines
You will understand, own and report on financial performance (e.g. revenue, margin), trends and key service attachment metrics to Business Unit & GSS Leadership
You will partner with Service Development and Digital Training Solutions teams to ensure alignment of NPI and product goals / strategy
You will research voice of the customer; market needs and gaps, trends and opportunities; competitor dynamics & capabilities; technology landscape and off-the-shelf solutions
You will leverage qualitative & quantitative market research, design thinking, and user-centered innovation to develop offerings and capabilities tailored to specific regions/segments, that drive growth for the business
You will partner with Business Unit & GSS Marketing teams on go-to-market plan execution, including value proposition creation, to maximize service attachment
You will influence and engage with cross-functional teams across Thermo Fisher Scientific, be an evangelist for transforming the way we work
You will manage business strategy including market outlook, competitive assessment, opportunity prioritization and product roadmap for education services
How will you get there?
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Engineering or Marketing
At least three (3) years of product management, marketing, and/or commercial experience
Ability to distill customer requirements, understand competitive strengths and weaknesses, and develop compelling product offerings and value propositions addressing competitive threats
The ability to translate strategy into projects, drive project execution, formulate plans and define key performance indicators, as well as report on the health of each project
Experience effectively communicating, building strong cross-functional relationships, and working closely with other teams across the business at all levels
Exceptional verbal & written communication skills; outstanding negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills
Experience leading teams without direct authority
Self-starter with the ability to create and execute plans based on a vision
Able to act in a relatively autonomous capacity and encounter problems of diverse scope and moderate to high complexity
Experience with life sciences or clinical research products and services (preferred)
Experience with LMS or digital training tools (preferred)
Up to 25% domestic and international travel
