Blessing Hospital RESPIRATORY THERAPIST OR RESPIRATORY THERAPY ASSISTANT in MACOMB, Illinois

JOB SUMMARY

  • Performs clinical respiratory follow up and monthly service checks to customers with oxygen concentrators in their home as prescribed by the physician or manufacturers guidelines. Must be certified in CPR. Must able to work on-call rotation. This position requires an individual with inter-personal skills conducive to positive customer relations. Must be able to successfully complete orientation/training program prescribed by the department. Performs CPAP, Bi-PAP, non-invasive Vent & Apnea monitor setups as prescribed by the physician.

  • JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education/Training/Experience:

  • REQUIRED:

  • Respiratory Therapist:

    • Person must have completed course in respiratory therapy.
  • Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician.

  • Must be certified in CPR.

  • Prior experience or on-the-job training is required.

  • Respiratory Therapy Assistant:

  • Must be certified in CPR.

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN).

  • This position requires an individual with inter-personal skills conducive to positive customer relations.

  • Prior experience or on-the-job training is required.

  • Must be able to successfully complete orientation/training program prescribed by the department.

  • PREFERRED:

    Respiratory Therapy Assistant:

  • Completion of a course in nursing (LPN, RN), or a graduate of a Respiratory Care Program.

  • License/Certifications/Special Requirements:

  • Licensed Respiratory Therapist in the State of Illinois or Licensed Nurse in the State of Illinois (LPN or RN) (If providing care in other states, must comply with that states licensing requirements).

  • Valid Drivers License

  • Pay Status:

  • Non-Exempt
