Alderwood Water & Wastewater District Meter Development Technician in Lynnwood, Washington

The Opportunity: Meter Development Technician The Meter Development Technician is responsible for assisting in the review and approval of plans for developer water extension agreements and District public works projects; processes and reviews water meter applications; facilitates the install, change out, removal and deletion of water meters; primary point of contact for developers, contractors, Engineering & Development, Inspection, and Billing for all meter installations, removals and related standards and specifications. The successful candidate will possess any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the job. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be four years in utility maintenance and operations or related field, and a High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) This position is represented by WCCCE, Local No. 1811A, AFSCME, AFL-CIO. A valid Washington State Driver’s license and acceptable driving record is required. The pay range for this position is $29.37 - $39.36 per hour, with a starting pay range of $29.37-$32.38 per hour dependent upon experience and qualifications.
