Process Engineer USP in
- Drive technology transfers by leading matrixed, cross-functional (Operations, Development, Process and Automation Engineering, QA and QC) process transfer team to ensure success in the upstream operations * Lead Engineering Runs and Process Performance Qualification campaigns. * Author and execute validation protocols, ensure collection and testing of samples and author final report * Provide Subject Matter Expert process support to operations during campaigns. Lead process related investigations. * Provide SME impact assessment to others investigations (operational or equipment deviations) * Lead technical projects towards improved facility capabilities, efficient systems, improved technical competency, or increased process/scale-up understanding. * Communicate effectively to department and site leadership and within external forums as appropriate * Bachelor’s, Master's or PhD degree in Chemical or Bioprocess Engineering, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology or closely related discipline * Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience in upstream process or Master's degree with 5+ years of experience in upstream process * Agile way of working & collaboration with stakeholders Based at the Solothurn Drug Substance manufacturing facility, this Manufacturing Sciences position provides key technical expertise in leading and supporting technology transfer (TT) of manufacturing processes into a state-of-the-art biomanufacturing facility. Solid technical understanding of upstream bioprocessing technologies (mammalian cell culture, bioreactors, perfusion and fed-batch strategies, PAT) is required. The position requires to provide technical support for Operations during manufacturing campaigns as upstream process SME for the transferred manufacturing processes, including leading process investigations and impact assessments.
