Extended Job Title:
Performs complex supervisory, coordinative and management duties in the preparation and publication of printed materials for assigned area. Responsible for the production process and may include scheduling, editing, and design issues. Work is performed under general supervision in accordance with established regulations and procedures.
Review Master Theses for editing, layout, and formatting.
Provide formatting advice to students to ensure TDL quality of documents prior to archiving.
Advise students, faculty, and staff on Graduate School graduation procedures, defense specifics, deadlines, and details pertaining to thesis and dissertation submission.
Enter, audit, and report on student records pertaining to thesis submission and thesis fee payments.
Assist the Unit Manager with Electronic Thesis/Dissertation review and record-keeping.
Serve as a liaison along with the Unit Manager and the library staff for the Electronic Thesis Dissertation online archive Vireo in conjunction with the Texas Digital Library.
Develop, update, and edit online information pertaining to theses and dissertations including graduation deadlines, the official formatting manual, templates, instructional materials, and graphics.
Assist Enrollment Services during Commencement ceremonies. Provide support for other activities, including the annual Arts and Humanities Conference, the annual Graduate Research Poster Competition, and the Three-Minute Thesis Competition.
Develop and implement student and/or staff workshops, including one-on-one advising sessions at the Graduate School and for the Graduate Writing Center.
Minimum Hire Rate:
Instructional technologies for assisting distance students in thesis and dissertation preparation.
Data management and data software knowledge for coordination with IT staff for project development.

Bachelor's degree in related area plus three (3) years progressively responsible related experience; OR a combination of specifically related education and/or experience to equal seven (7) years.
