This is an excellent Accounts Receivable opportunity (DIRECT HIRE) at a well established company with deep New England roots. Our client is looking for a motivated, articulate professional with strong Customer Service skills to support their accounting and sales functions. This person will help increase cash flow and maximize efficiencies while reducing the DSO while driving customer satisfaction.

The AR/Collections Specialist will have a variety of duties that includes:

  • Calling on current customers with outstanding balances to collect money; since these are current, valued customers customer service is of utmost importance

  • Research and resolve any discrepancies

  • Negotiate pay plans if needed

  • Any inquiries regarding balances

  • Create various reports for Management related to Accounts Receivable, Credit, Accounting and Tax departments

  • Gather and research required documents as requested from customers and regulatory agencies

  • Reconciliations

  • Cash Management and Reporting

  • Maintain files and customer records; create files for new accounts and assist with credit process

  • Review invoices for accuracy, resolve any discrepancies

  • Work closely with accounting management on various administrative duties

  • Release orders upon receipt of payment


The ideal profile includes:

  • 2 years of relevant experience in accounting support role

  • Detail oriented

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume environment

  • Strong communication skills

  • Able to interact with people at all levels
