Danaher Corporation Mechanical Component Engineer in Loveland, Colorado
The primary role of this position is to provide component engineering support for electrical components, mechanical, electromechanical, and optical components. You will work closely with Strategic Sourcing, NPD Engineering, and Production Engineering; in the development of component design, component specifications, component selection, component qualification, and component failure analysis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
From a global perspective, understands component engineering and procurement industry trends and issues on a real time basis, in order to develop and implement an effective procurement and component strategies.
Technical knowledge of electrical components, mechanical, electromechanical, and optical components.
Work with other engineering departments to develop component specifications.
Lead and/or participate in the component and supplier selection processes.
Lead and/or perform component qualifications internally and at component suppliers.
Component failure analysis internally, at external laboratories, or at component suppliers.
Lead component corrective action activities internally and with component suppliers.
Participate in technical audits at supplier sites, including assessments of their core technical competencies and process controls.
Establish, track, and trend key component and supplier performance metrics.
Initiates, reviews, and approves ECO’s

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
5+ years’ experience in Mechanical Component Engineering or related engineering.
A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understand of area of specialization.
Resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways.
Working knowledge of component design using CAD software.
