UCLA Health Staff Research Associate in Los Angeles, California
Under the supervision of the Project
Manager, the Staff Research Associate will assist with data management using
specialized tracking applications associated with a national evaluation of
undergraduate STEM program. Will review and correct formatting for data
provided by project sites; upload submitted data files to a web system unique
to the project; and process, review, and correct data from quality control
reports. Generate data exports from citation databases then format and
upload these to the specialized study system. Assist with communications
with project sites and study respondents as needed/requested by the Project
Manager. Code survey and interview data for themes and assist in preparation of
presentations, reports, and publications.Qualifications
Required:* Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and follow core office procedures* Ability to work with core staff and senior investigators having varied backgrounds* Ability to work with undergraduate students, and faculty members skillfully in English (written and verbal)* Accuracy and attention to organization, details, and record keeping.* Ability to problem solve within constraints of study protocol* Knowledge of computer research protocols and data entry such as REDCap or excel* BA or equivalent year's experience* Experience coding survey and interview data for themes* Experience with use of data tracking systems for import and export of various types of formatted files.Strongly Preferred:* Experience working with ethnically diverse survey participants and in collaboration with community-based organizations
