SUMMARY:Under the direction of the Family Services Manager; the Family Engagement Coordinator is responsible for the oversight and monitoring of the agency's Family Partnership System, Family Engagement System, and ERSEA systems that are implemented by the Family Services Associates and ERSEA Specialists. Ensure the compliance of Head Start Performance Standards related to Family Partnership Agreements, Family Engagement, and ERSEA.RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:iIn coordination with the Family Services Manager, successfully implement the Head Start Parent, Family and Community Engagement Framework in the Head Start program.Provides guidance, supervision to Family Community Engagement and ERSEA staff. Ensures Family Services Associates have assisted families in identifying family's needs, assist families inideveloping family goals, assist families through the referral process andiprovide follow up to families.Ensures that families are linked to Health, Disabilities, Nutrition, Social Services and Mental Health services through a referraliprocess.This position works within an interdisciplinary team setting withiother Head Start staff using case-management protocols that integrateiservice areas, to address identified concerns for children.Responsible to ensure ongoing continuous enrollment ofiall program slots and the effective documentation of attendance records.Collaborates with the Head Start team in developing plans for activities and strategizes on parent and family engagement.Organize quarterly parent involvement meetings in coordination with the Head Start Family and Health Services Manager.Establish methods of communication with parents aroundievents, activities and program information, (i.e. flyers, notices, etc). Develop promotional and activity materials to be conscious of variousilanguages and literacy abilities.Establish a parent training program including aitraining calendar. In cooperation with the Family Services Manager to facilitate implementation. Implementsithe family literacy program.Provides emergencyibackup coverage in the absence of the assigned Family Community Engagementistaff.Assists in the hiringiand evaluation of Family Community Engagement and ERSEA staff.Acts as liaison betweeniFamily Community Engagement staff and the management team and CrystaliStair programs.Provides Family CommunityiEngagement staff training on the Head Start Parent, Family andiCommunity Engagement Framework, case management, record-keeping, ERSEAiPlan, Parent Involvement, and other related topics.Implements the agenciesiERSEA Plan and recruitment plan and ensures timelines associated withireporting procedures.Conducts File Reviewsiand Monitors records and ensures services delivery and follow-up isiprovided for services performed or received.EnsuresiFamily Community Engagement staffs are gathering health data (height, weight, vision and hearing) and 45 day requirements.Network within the community to establish newipartnerships with community based organizations for training opportunities for Head Start families including parenting classes.Provides guidance,itechnical support in analyzing case problems to improve their diagnosticiskills to staff.Establishes, developsiand maintains partnerships/relationships with public, private andicommunity organizations to promote children and families accessingicommunity resources that are responsive to their needsEvaluates procedures andipractices for accomplishing Family Partnership activities and works withiFamily Services Manager to develop alternative methods for work improvement.Responsible for accuracyiand consistency of the record-keeping system and program documentation throughiongoing monitoring.iKNOWLEDGE:iiKnowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and best practicesirelated to case management, family engagement, staffing and programioptions as well as services to families.Knowledge of social serviceidelivery, community resources, requirements and procedures.Knowledge of
