JetBlue Airways Corp. Analyst Flight Operations Administration in Long Island City, New York

Position Summary

The Analyst supports the general planning and business needs of the Flight Operations Department by conducting business andscheduleanalysis, departmental performance reporting and tracking, and budgeting. The position also interfaces with Crew Staffing, Crew Planning,Payroll, Organizational Management,Operations Planning and Analysis,and Financial Planning and Analysis.

Essential Responsibilities

Serveas a resource for all programs, projects and duties as assigned by the Director,Flight Operations, Planning and Analytics,in support of Flight Operationsrelated activities

Assist with data researchand analysis

Assist with the development ofpresentation preparation

Work with multiple departments to ensure accurate coding of departmental expenses

Act asaliaison with Crew Services (specifically, pilot staffing, bid divisors, and reserve minimums)

Work with Finance to ensure accurate coding of departmental costsandassist with financial analysisto identifykey opportunities for cost savings

Conduct financial and operational modeling to provide Senior Leadership with decision support

Assist with the selection of crew hotels and ground transportation companies, as well as contract review and execution

Other duties as assigned

MinimumExperience and Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree inAviation Management,Business, Economics, or related field

One (1)yearAviation Management,business, finance, or analytical background

Superior skills with Microsoft Office suite with emphasis in Excel,Spotfire,Tableauand PowerPoint

Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Proven ability to build relationships both internally and externally

Proficient in financial, quantitative, and analytical skills

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Ability to craft and deliver key messages through presentations and reporting to senior leadership

Available for occasional overnight travel (15%)

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test

Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

Three(3) yearAviation management,business, finance, or analytical background

Airline experience

Experience with managing a budget

Knowledge of technology fundamentals and concepts (Microsoft,TIBCO Spotfire, Tableautechnologies preferred)

Knowledge of JetBlue's Business Units and Flight Operations disciplines and interdependencies

Exceptional project management skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Highly organized

Crewmember Expectations:

Regular attendance and punctuality

Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice

Well-groomedand able to maintain a professional appearance

When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
