Citigroup Trade Client Management Industry Lead - Industrials in London, United Kingdom

Position Objective:

  • Lead the Trade client engagement for a portfolio of clients across the Industrials industry segment

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of Trade Client Managers focused on delivering the best Trade solutions for clients

  • Drive the Industrials industry segment Trade revenue growth and deliver KPIs set by management

  • Develop team members so that, over a period of time, these individuals are capable of originating / executing Trade opportunities across all Trade products (to this end, the Industry team lead will be expected to develop detailed IDPs for each member of their team)

  • Work with Trade partners to ensure the seamless delivery of Trade products

  • Identify and communicate client requirements and industry needs to Product partners

  • Work closely with Trade Sales and Country/Cluster teams to originate and execute transactions and refer opportunities to them that do not fall in the remit of TCM

  • Continue to develop the Trade Client Management infrastructure, organisation, processes and procedures

  • Lead Trade initiatives across the Industrials industry segment

  • Lead engagement with counterparts in Banking, GSS and Trade Sales to develop, execute and monitor account plans and to formulate client solutions


As this is part of a new organisational construct in Trade, the industry lead will be responsible for working with the Trade Client Management head to continue to build the new organisation, develop the respective teams and work with partners to ensure clarity around roles and responsibilities to develop the processes and procedures to deliver our Trade solutions efficiently and provide an excellent client experience.

  • Provide strong people management and development of team members

  • Integrate the team and identify training needs and develop a strong support model within the team

  • Lead and support the team's engagement in the structuring of transactions/solutions & winning new mandates

  • Optimise the capacity plan and resource allocation against the industrials industry portfolio

  • Drive revenue, asset growth and returns for the Industrials industry portfolio

  • Identify emerging industry needs and work closely with product partners to feedback product development needs/gaps

  • Work closely with Trade Sales to agree account plans, work on deal structuring and develop a cohesive origination model for Trade

Knowledge and Experience:

  • It is a requirement of to have >10 years with experience of Credit or Trade Products

  • Solid experience in deal execution and client management

  • Demonstrated track record of building teams with range of experiences

  • Experience of business development, building and maintaining key relationships

  • Has developed marketing strategies to sell the Bank’s relevant products

  • Track record in designing and implementing new processes and procedures for credit products
