We are looking for a motivated and ambitious individual to join the UK Retail Asset Management Team, working on our flagship retail/ mixed use assets on behalf of internationally based Clients. The role would be best suited towards a qualified Surveyor with 1+ years PQE, who can support more senior members on implementing asset business plans, investment analysis and reporting. The role offers a clear path to career progression in a growing area of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Asset Management:

  • Create and implement written and numerical asset level business plans, including the preparation of cash flows and budgets

  • Assist in coordinating refurbishment and asset management projects by instructing and monitoring agents or undertaking direct projects where appropriate

  • Know our tenants, understand our competition at a building and landlord level

  • Develop knowledge on sector and occupier trends

  • Assist in monitoring asset level risk

  • Preparation of assets for disposal

Income and estate management:

  • Enhance, extend and protect asset income

  • Assist in appointing letting agents, liaising with them and monitoring the marketing process

  • Assist in appointing rent review and lease renewal advisors, and liaising with them during the process

  • Liaison with property managers and lawyers


  • Prepare annual/quarterly/monthly (as necessary) asset performance reports to the Client and the CBRE Global Investors’ Oversight Committee and Sector Specialists; and

  • Provide IPD with fund data to enable performance figures to be produced

Maintenance of records:

  • Tenancy schedules and asset measurement indicators;

  • Procurement; and

  • Invoices

Person Specification

  • Minimum of 1+ years PQE

  • Strong academic background

  • Understanding of cashflow modelling and valuation methodology (Excel and Argus software experience required)

  • An interest in the retail sector, conscious of the challenges faced and how to react/ adapt within the sector

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Attention to detail and good organisational skills

  • Confident, pro-active, hardworking and able to work as part of a team

  • Strong work ethic and ambition
