Primary Function:

Reporting to the Controller – the Assistant Controller will be responsible for preparing and reporting financial performance results to meet internal and external financial reporting requirements, field inquiries and prepare periodic presentations of results. The Assistant Controller will also oversee the financial processing, reconciling and reporting of several subsidiaries.

Primary Responsibilities:

Prepare and review the month end financial processing, for Mastronardi Produce and subsidiaries, including reconciliation of accounts, preparation of supporting schedules, adjusting entries, variance and ratio analysis and financial statement review.

Preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements, including multiple currency reporting.

Prepare the monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting package, including financial statements, executive summary and board presentation.

Prepare short and long-term trend reports, including working capital, capital spending and profitability and communicate the results in an effective manner that concisely identifies the current trends and potential future impacts.

Have a vital role in the preparation of the annual budgeting process, including pre-budget analysis and research.

Prepare and update ongoing operational and department spending forecasts.

Participate in the annual external audit, tax preparation and be involved with periodic regulatory requests.

Education/Background Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.

CPA designation preferred.
