If this describes you, join our group as our next Solid Rocket Motor Certified Principal Engineer!

As the leader to the development team you will have the opportunity to:

- Develop integration, technical requirements, and engineering documentation (testing of hardware and systems)

- Lead component testing and investigations

- Collaborate with subcontract management to provide technical support

- Present at Engineering Review Boards, Configuration Control Boards, and Failure Review Boards as required

- Enhance cross subject area product development

- Participate in mentorship opportunities and professional development, all while serving as a technical interface to program management, systems engineering, quality, and our customer counterparts.

- Engineer, design, qualify, assemble and integrate/test Solid Rocket Motors.

- Travel to support assembly, integration and testing of hardware and systems will be required.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education

• Solid Rocket Motor development experience

• Experience with aerospace flight hardware design, analysis, manufacture, or test and integration

• Hardware experience, including design, analysis, assembly, integration and test

• Experience working with procurement and outside suppliers.

Desired Skills:

• Experience working with NASA spaceflight centers

• Experience developing advanced technological ideas and guiding their development into a final product.

• Fundamental understanding of Solid Rocket Motor Propulsion and aerospace hardware systems and processes

• Demonstrated ability to drive hardware production activities through delivery to the program

• Excellent verbal/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical audiences

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

• Considered a technical leader in solid propellant development

• Team oriented, with good time management, and communication skills.
