Nelnet ALLO Training Manager in Lincoln, Nebraska


Develop andimplement high-value training initiatives that promote organizational change and improve customer satisfaction. Focus on encouraging and inspiring associate’s growth and experience through developing, delivering and evaluating new programs and implementing enhancements within a defined time period.


  1. Develop and deliver training programs to all ALLO departments that support and drive our culture and support our core values company-wide.

  2. Consult with leaders on skills, competencies and training needed to grow their leadership pipeline and support their business needs. Collaborate with trainers in all business segments.

  3. Champion and lead change management process and programs through the organization and maintain the vision for innovation, collaboration, customer focus and teamwork by focusing oncore competencies in people and processes.

  4. Provide organizational leadership advice through partnering with leaders to develop and enhance jobs that support organizational initiatives of retention engagement, and high-output and delivery of services.

  5. Manage key transformation projects and coordinate others, managing risks and opportunities associated with transformational change and business process re-engineering, taking steps to mitigate/exploit these to ensure that transformation is successfully delivered.

  6. Develop the organization from a performance and culture perspective by implementing and overseeing programs that increase efficiency, strengthen associate knowledge and abilities, improve leadership and maintain the overall health of the company.

  7. Work closely with the management team to identify, develop and implement strategic organizational training effectiveness initiatives that enhance associate performance, development and engagement. Oversee and provide guidance to team members, as necessary, in the design, development and evaluation of all formal courses and training materials.

  8. Develop a Corporate Training & Organizational Development brand, market the training programs and training library offered to all associates.

  9. Develop an evaluation and measurement process to monitor the effectiveness and success of initiatives and programs.

  10. Other duties as assigned.



Minimum bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.


3-5 years related experience with emphasis in training and organizational development. Experience in transformational change; leading, motivating, and managing teams both directly and indirectly to achieve significant, sustainable service improvements and outstanding results.


Ability to work in and forge successful partnerships with a wide range of internal and external partners to successfully deliver a holistic approach to training and organization development. Commitment to superior customer service and operational excellence. Strategic thinking and creativity in addressing future challenges in alignment with long term growth and profitability goals. Strong teamwork orientation. Effective communication and strong interpersonal and team-building skills. Ability to build the metrics necessary to assess the impact and effectiveness of all training initiatives.
