Classic Bank N A Credit Analyst in Liberty Hill, Texas

General Summary 

  Analyzes credit data to estimate degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money to firms or individuals by performing the following duties:

  Essential Functions

  • Studies and performs research on economic trends in firm’s industry or branch of industry to predict probable success of new customer

  • Visits establishments to determine condition of plant and equipment and compare methods of operation with accepted industry practices

  • Evaluates investigative results, prepares reports of findings, and suggests credit limitations to management

  • Maintains database of customer credit reviews and analysis

  • Assists bank staff with appraisal reviews and internal real estate evaluations

  • Performs pre-funding and post-funding credit narrative, to be included in bank’s internal analysis program

  • Assist Chief Lending Officer with monthly reporting to include sensitivity analysis of bank loan portfolio

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, project management, and organizational skills

  • Research experience

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public

  • Strong mathematical, reasoning, and computer skills

  • Excellent verbal communication skills: listens intently, asks for clarification, and speaks clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations

  • Excellent written communication skills; writes clearly and informatively, presenting numerical data effectively

  • Great interpersonal and teamwork skills, treating others with respect, and inspiring trust

    Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance preferred

  • 1 – 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

    Working Conditions

  • Required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms

  • Requires corrected hearing in normal range of effective communication via telephone and alarms

  • Must be able to speak English

  • May be required to either sit or stand for long periods of time

  • May occasionally lift up to 25 pounds

Bachelors Degree in Finance/Accounting preferred. 

Credit Analyst experience required.
