- Supervise and assist those responsible for: a. Cleaning and setting tables; b. Serving meals as directed by The Food Service Manager; c. Sweeping, mopping and scrubbing the floor after each meal; d. Washing dishes; e. Prepare all beverages for each meal and snack; f. Prepare cereal and salad bars; g. Cleaning spillage in kitchen or dinning room immediately; h. Taking out trash from kitchen and dinning room to dumpster; 2. Assist in any area of kitchen or dinning room, as requested by head cook and/or food service manager 3. Be responsible for dining room staff as to what they wear, t-shirts, hair, etc. 4. Help unload and store supplies
Experience in a camp setting or an institutional food service setting Desire to work in the food service area in a summer camp setting Ability to supervise campers and staff Ability to accept guidance and supervision Ability to work well with others 18 years of age or older Christian exhibiting the principles of Christian living
Essential Functions Food Service Personnel – must be able to lift/unload/move food and supplies; lift dishes to their storage location; use kitchen equipment safely; be available for flexible scheduling involving mainly weekend responsibility and long days of up to but not limited to 12 hours; operate electrical and mechanical equipment; maintain appropriate inventory of food and supplies; operate dishwasher while maintaining appropriate temperature; determine cleanliness of dishes, food contact surfaces, and kitchen area; assess condition of food.
