With over $2B in sales,APG operates across 40 states and 5Canadian provinces through a network of over 165operating locations and more than 5,000 employees.Job Description SummaryVerifies and posts details of business transactions and totals accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and databasesReconciles bank statements and report discrepancy problemsAccurately prepare vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports and other records for reviewCodes data for input to financial data processing system according to company proceduresProcess credit memos to customers and processes weekly check runWork with dispatchers, drivers, and operations personnel to handle customer orders/complaintsAudit freight bills against freight manifestsPerform shipment confirmation, involves keying amounts delivered to customers and charging freight when applicableFile miscellaneous receivers, copies of invoices and copies of delivery ticketsProcess sales tax returns in a complete and timely manner, including accounting distribution entriesMake Collection callsDocument notes on customer accounts based on conversations/emailsWork unappliedreport daily (weekly progess report showing movement on these will go to mgmt in an effort clear this account)Process customers payment through online payment portal.Process customer lien waivers (Fill out waivers for signature and notary stamp)Account reconciliation (reconcile outstanding issues such as short payments, aged credits/invoices, unapplied payments, etc)Reconcile Cash Desks for multiple locationsOrder releasesProcess customer refund as neededAsst. sales team with AR requestsAccount placement/collections and legalRequirementsAt least an Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college; or equivalent in years of related experience or trainingProficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel and LawsonSkilled and accurate in data entry and data research with 10-key operation experienceCalculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumePreferencesKnowledge required on construction products, computers, inventory, and telephonesPrevious accounting experienceWhat CRH Americas Offers YouHighly competitive base payComprehensive medical, dental and disability benefits programsGroup retirement savings programHealth and wellness programsA culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotionAbout CRH AmericasCRH Americas has a long and proud heritage as one of North Americas largest corporations.
