Applied Physics Laboratory Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)/ Systems Administrator (SA) in Laurel, Maryland

As a Systems Administrator/Engineer... * You will be responsible for system and storage management, backups/availability, networking/infrastructure and information assurance. As an Information Systems Security Officer... * * You will be responsible for incident response, continuous monitoring, creating and maintaining documentation, system development support, and configuration management. ## Qualifications *You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you have... * A BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience. * Experience in Information Systems Security, Information Assurance, or Windows/Linux systems administration. * Hands-on experience supporting classified computer networks * Proven Assessment and Authorization experience working with the Risk Management Framework (RMF), NISPOM, or JSIG. * Experience applying STIGs to operating systems, applications and network peripherals. * A current DoD 8570 certification (Security+, CISSP, etc.), or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment required. * An active security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship. Why work at APL?
