Overview:
The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for quality inspections of the placement of copper and/or fiber optics cable, conduit, grounding and bonding inspections, hand hole, pedestal and aerial terminal placement.
Responsibilities:
Perform quality control inspections of all aerial/underground cable projects with in-house and subcontracted crews.
Inspect fiber cable placement on poles and in splice points
Inspect placement of conduit, pedestals, and splices
Assure that door-tagging and resident notification of our construction activities has been completed prior to starting each workday. Resolve customer/resident complaints related to construction activities performed by crew.
On-site verification of technical specifications and/or construction specifications
Document any deviation from technical specifications or standard for construction
Qualifications:
Related quality control and/or telecommunications construction experience preferred
Ability to work independently without supervision in a deadline-driven environment
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, both written & orally
Sound working experience with MS Office applications; Word and Excel
Must be able to read blue prints
Must be detail-oriented
Excellent organizational skills
Capable of working in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions.
Must have earned high school diploma or equivalent
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must be able to pass drug , background,MVR & DOT screenings.
Must be authorized to work in the United States
