UnitedHealth Group RN Supervisor Home Health Las Vegas 3000 Sign On Bonus for External Candidates in Las Vegas, Nevada

Southwest Medical, part of OptumCare, is a multi-specialty group of physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants consisting of over 300 providers, 21 medical health centers including six urgent care clinics, four convenient care centers, two lifestyle centers catering to older adults, an outpatient surgery center, home health, hospice and palliative care services, plus E-visits and online options via Now Clinic telemedicine technology. Southwest Medical offers patients compassion, innovation, and quality care throughout southern Nevada. Southwest Medical is headquartered in the greater Las Vegas, NV area.

This is an office-based position in an administrative referrals/intake department. The schedule is Monday-Friday with the potential for occasional weekend work, and this team member is part of the Administrator On Call (AOC) rotation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic oversight and supervision of the Home Health referrals/intake department

  • Coach, develop, review and audit staff including RNs, LPNs and clinical administrative coordinators

  • Oversee documentation and insurance verification processes

  • Supervise and evaluate staff for compliance with agency and corporate policies, and all state and federal home health regulations

  • Schedule, process payroll and set priorities for the team

  • Identify areas for workflow improvement

  • Process incoming home health referrals

  • Monitor and analyze medical management activities

  • Plan, coordinate, deliver and evaluate clinical training

  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Current, unrestricted NV RN license or temporary NV RN license with the ability to obtain permanent NV RN license upon expiration of temporary NV RN license

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 2+ yrs. experience as supervisor or manager

  • 2+ yrs. experience in community health or medical/surgical patient care setting

  • EMR proficiency

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Home health experience

  • Experience with referrals

  • CMS (Medicare) Knowledge

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
