With oversight and direction from the Director of Graduate Medical Education (DME) and the Psychiatry/Transitional Year, the Psychiatry/Transitional Year Coordinator is responsible for the daily departmental, operational and financial management of the accredited/non-accredited residency/fellowship training programs.
The Psychiatry/Transitional Year Coordinator ensures that regulatory and accreditation standards are met, supports accreditation processes, including coordinating and actively participating in site visits, develops and maintains documentation and provides guidance to program leaders, faculty and staff. Additionally, this person creates evaluation reports needed to identify areas for improvements, and compiles and submits accurate reports to accrediting bodies and other professional organizations, as required.
The Psychiatry/Transitional Year Coordinator will continually assess and direct a wide range of programmatic issues developing projects, analyzing administrative workflow, maintaining databases, communicating with faculty and trainees regarding a range of issues, and managing internal and external residency program relations.
The Psychiatry/Transitional Year Coordinator will provide defined administrative support to the Psychiatry/Transitional Year residency programs, in addition to, perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * * _Education_: * Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, Organizational Development, or closely related field, or 3-5 years' experience in Graduate Medical Education or Executive Level Administration _Experience_: * * Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in Graduate Medical Education or Executive Level Administration *_Language Skills_: * Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing * Excellent presentation skills * Additional languages a plus _Skills_: * Ability to make decisions independently or to escalate issues as needed * Ability to efficiently and accurately manage multiple tasks and projects * Ability to work independently with limited guidance * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Ability to organize information * Ability to handle sensitive information with absolute confidentiality * Working knowledge of software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
