Kelly Services Eligibility Supervisor in Las Vegas, Nevada

Job Description

Kelly Services has team up with an eligibility and enrollment service in NV and seeking an Eligibility Supervisor.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Eligibility Supervisor is responsible to assist the Department Manager in overseeing the employees who are either on-site in a hospital or within an office. This individual will assist the Department Manager with other duties such as evaluating the progress of the staff, maintaining employee records, quality assurance, etc.

Hours - Typically 8am to 5pm but could vary a bit as we do have some employees that work later in the day and one on Saturday that will need to be periodically checked in on during their shifts.

Will support and travel to multiple hospitals as the position is located at the various UHS hospitals within Las Vegas, Pahrump and then the one in Reno

May be able to occasionally work from a home environment but for the majority of their week will be onsite at the facilities working to train the team and help to create a positive connection with the staff

Someone that is bi-lingual (Spanish) to assist patients but not required.

Candidate ideally will have worked directly with patients in the hospital setting, have had customer services experience, or social service, -Section 8 housings-, Food Stamps. Etc.

Program Knowledge - Someone with Medicaid experience within NV. (former caseworker experience, or hospital eligibility experience)

Understand the process of Medicaid eligibility and not just billing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead, supervise and develop departmental teams

  • Oversee and direct the daily activities of the staff

  • Coordinate account inventories and report daily/weekly to the Department Manager

  • Prepare and conduct staff training

  • Maintain time and attendance records for staff

  • Problem solve operational issue

  • Conduct performance reviews

  • Assist with hiring

  • Delegation and inspection of workflows

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and/or assume responsibilities for employees during absenteeism, heavy workloads, etc.

  • Coordinate overtime with the Department Manager to accommodate workloads

  • Meet goals and objectives as assigned by management

  • Report and document employee disciplinary problems to the Department Manager

  • Adhere to prescribed policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook and the Employee Code of Conduct

  • Maintain awareness of and actively participate in the Corporate Compliance Program

  • Assist with other projects as assigned by management

Requirements

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

  • Bachelor-s degree or equivalent experience is required

  • Eligibility Supervisor experience is helpful

  • Experience with Medicaid processes is required

  • Ability to effectively work and communicate with coworkers, staff and clients

  • Ability to present oneself in a professional and courteous manner at all times

  • Working knowledge of Personal Computers

  • Demonstrate initiative and creativity in fulfilling job responsibilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a busy work environment

  • Must demonstrate strong leadership abilities

Working Conditions:

  • Call center environment, or Hospital

  • Working extended hours may be required as needed

  • Travel may be necessary
