Job Summary
Working from a home office, the Senior Research Analyst is responsible for designing and implementing research studies in order to surface actionable insights about the efficacy of educational products and services as well as instructional practices. The Senior Research Analyst will work as part of the Efficacy & Research team within the Product and Portfolio Management team and will collaborate with other departments within OBL in support of schools and programs supported by OBL.
The Senior Research Analyst must demonstrate knowledge of research design and data analysis in a program evaluation context and be prepared to acquire subject matter expertise pertaining to learning in a K12 virtual school environment.
Candidates with a background in learning analytics, learning science, data systems, or experience working with K-12 educational and/or virtual programs are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement evaluations of the efficacy of OBL products and services.
Design and implement original research to surface insights about effective instructional practices and contribute to the field of online learning .
Maintain up-to-date familiarity with trends in online learning including effective research tools and practices.
Provide summaries and visuals of student performance, survey, and demographic data to address time-sensitive requests as needed.
Work with cross-departmental teams and OBL supported schools and programs to solve problems and generate new insights and best practices.
Key Skills
Master’s or Ph.D. in Education, Educational Measurement, Psychology, or related field
Experience in educational or social science research, or a related field
Experience with Microsoft Excel and SPSS/R (or similar)
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to effectively meet deadlines
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Education-related field
Experience in educational or social science research, or a related field
Experience with Microsoft Excel
Experience with exploring the effectiveness of educational products.
The anticipated starting salary range for Colorado-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $80,000-$85,000. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program. Benefits available to eligible employees can be seen at: https://pearsonbenefitsus.com/
