Job Summary

Manages and the day-to-day activities of a functional area of a department/unit. Supervises the work of employees.

Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance to the established FMC policies, procedures and guidelines.

Job Qualifications

Education: Associates degree or higher in the applicable field of study preferred

Experience: Experience working in Health Care Facilities setting is preferred. Strong mechanical background is preferred. Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems, experience working with BAS systems.

Job-related Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; ability to problem-solve and facilitate resolution to issues; demonstrates ability to handle multiple priorities; ability to make independent decisions.

Essential Job Functions

Job Expectations and Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the day-to-day activities of the department/area.

  • Participates in the interviewing and selecting process.

  • Assigns work and follows up on work on of the employees.

  • Provides input and assists with the performance appraisal process.

  • Monitors educations requirements of staff.

  • Oversees orientation of new employees.

  • Assists with the facilitation of disciplinary actions.

  • Maintains schedule and assures staffing levels are appropriate.

  • Assists with development, facilitation and implementation of departmental projects.

Physical Capacity Demand

Medium Work: Exerting up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10-25 pounds of force

frequently, and/or a negligible up to 10 pounds amount of force often.
