The laboratory dental technician supports the in-vitro testing group.
Participate in research, innovation, and new product and procedure development activities Receive, inspect and catalog extracted teeth.
Use basic tooth morphology and anatomy to identify tooth types
Restore and repair natural teeth using a range of dental materials.
Analyze samples using x-rays, optical microscope and scanning electrom microscopy.
Create tooth models for testing.
Prepare extracted teeth for root canal cleaning studies using dental tools and/or hand tools
General lab maintenance. Ordering supplies, inventory management, disposal.
Conduct research studies per established protocols and test methods.
Document all work performed in compliance with quality requirements.
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
High school diploma with a minimum 3-4 years of labortatory technician experience (Associate degree preferred)
Dental lab experience preferred
Demonstrated ability to use small tools with manual dexterity and technical apptitude
Familiarity with laboratory processing and measurement instruments
Demonstrated ability as a fast learner, self motivated and high energy individual who is able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and maintain efficiency and positive attitude
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Computer proficiency (e.g. MS word, email, etc.)
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
