The Controller will be a full-time employment opportunity and will be located in the Lacey, Washington region. If you can plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff, you might be right for this position. Location: Lacey, Washington
Salary: DOE, Bonus, Benefits (3 weeks PTO)
Present executive committee and partners with monthly financial reports
Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure that firm-wide operation is efficient and effective
Responsible for month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis
Check deliverables of self and team to certify they meet client expectations
Advance Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed, with research, planning and implementation
Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
Occasionally perform duties beyond formal job responsibilities
Prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, daily cash management
Manage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts
Drive the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to ensure the timely cash collection
Oversee the activities of the finance department, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
Microsoft Excel experience desired
CPA or MBA preferred
-10+ years of experience
The ideal candidate will be highly-skilled with exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
Excellent technology, analytics and management experience required
Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
High attention to detail
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus
