Hyatt Crosswater Grille Server at Sunriver Resort in LA PINE, Oregon

Description:

The Server is responsible for ensuring the standards of service in assigned food and beverage outlets. S/he will take orders, deliver food, drinks and other items to guests poolside. The Server will act as a liaison between the kitchen and guests. S/he will assist with maintaining the AAA Four Diamond standards.

A Crosswater Grille server will engage in casual conversation and create the restaurant experience by their style and service attributes. Other duties include general restaurant preparation and maintaining a sanitary environment. If you have experience as a server in a restaurant, we'd love to hear from you!

ESSENTIALJOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Takes guests orders using loungechair numbers and appropriate ordertaking sheets

  • Enters orders accuratelyinto POS systems

  • Familiarizes him/herselfwith all menus including all meal periods, lounge menu, and beverage lists

  • Resets lounge chairs anddining area after guests are done

  • Performs food &beverage preparation duties such as preparing condiments, mise en place,brewing coffee and ensuring work stations are stocked

  • Follows all properbookkeeping and cash handling procedures

  • Ensures all opening,on-going and closing sidework is complete and signed off by a manager on duty

  • Serves food and beveragesto guests poolside

  • Informs and promotes guestsof daily/nightly specials; Checks guests’ identification to ensure roomcharging privileges

  • Checks guests’identification to ensure minimum age requirement for consumption of alcoholicbeverages

  • Removes service ware orother item from tables and countertops and place them in trash receptacles

  • Offers creative selling ofproducts to guests

  • Answers questions and/ormakes recommendations on menus items

  • Cleans tables and/orcounters & lounge chairs after guests are finished

  • Explains how various menuitems are prepared, describing cooking methods and ingredients

  • Takes into considerationany special request, dietary issues made by the guest

  • Performs food preparationduties such as preparing salads, appetizers, cold dishes, portioning dessertsand brewing coffee

  • Provides general resortinformation for guests

  • Offers warm and sincerewelcome/farewell for all guests of Sunriver Resort including use of guest name& good eye contact with each guest

Qualifications:

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.

  • Refined verbal communication skills.

  • Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight.

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Prior hospitality experience preferred

  • At least one year high volume restaurant serving experience preferred

  • At least one year food & beverage experience preferred

  • At least 6 months POS system experience preferred

  • Adequate wine, beer and mixed drink knowledge preferred
