Danaher Corporation Senior HRBP North Europe (m/f/d) in Krefeld, Germany

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior HR Business Partner will provide HR partnership and leadership for North Europe (Germany, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, UK...). She/he develops and implements HR initiatives focused on achieving business objectives. This position is hands-on and tactical to provide human resources expertise in the areas of performance management, employee retention, coaching/development, conflict management, employee relations, workforce planning in a context of strong growth.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deploys HR strategy and vision for the region in alignment with the HR EMEA and global HR strategy whilst actively adapting to regional situation.

  • Advise, influence and guide all levels of management on the HR implications of business strategies and all aspects of people-management and leadership.

  • Partner with business leaders in organizational assessment to translate business strategies into actions that deliver results, improve organizational capability and manage workforce planning.

  • In a context of high growth, ability to partner with business leaders to identify the Talent capabilities for the future and provide strategic staffing in line with Danaher guidance. For recruitments, will assist in identifying, interviewing and selecting qualified candidates.

  • Applies the Danaher HR policies and processes and ensure appropriate career development programs and initiatives are aligned with critical skill development and succession planning for designated functional teams.

  • Develop and manage communications regarding organizational structure, employment-related news, and HR-related programs and policies.

  • Partner with Compensation department on making recommendations for job creation/leveling of each role roles. Review relevant market data for each country and subsequent communications/recommendations made to the business leaders.

  • Consult on proposed promotions and help drive the annual review process.

  • Resolve employee related issues through a systematic approach with clear documentation.

  • Provide guidance on, and help conduct, the investigation of complex complaints and concerns that could result in legal ramifications or organization exposure.

  • Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives through DBS activities to improve efficiency of HR processes.

  • Anticipate the need for change and influence change proactively. Consciously strive to build networks of support for change goals and objectives.

TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES: (REQUIRED)

  • Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time.

  • Ensure your associates attend and complete all required trainings satisfactorily and on time.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education or Experience (in years):

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of related work experience OR

  • Master’s degree in field with 6+ years of related work experience OR

  • Doctoral degree in field with 3+ years of work experience.

Knowledge and skills:

  • Prior knowledge and experience of HR practices in countries covered with strong business and compensation acumen. Knowledge of local laws, statutes, etc., which govern employment policies in North Europe countries.

  • Excellent Business Partner mindset and ability to solve complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions and recommend best practices.

  • Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks, and work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; must be an articulate and persuasive communicator.

  • Ability to work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.

  • Ability to function under pressure and high paced, high growth environment.

  • Ability to develop teams and lead functional teams or projects in a matrix organization.

  • Thorough understanding and application of internal and external HR principles, concepts, practices and standards.

  • Experience supporting commercial teams and successfully implementing programs across geographically distributed teams.

  • Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office.

  • Experience working with HR database.

Other:

  • Prior experience or interactions in various countries in the region. Travel up to 25%.
