The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for maintaining a high quality of cleanliness offered to guests, including supervising the cleaning of guestrooms and/or public areas as well as the cleaning of laundry linens in accordance with Hotel's standards. This position reports to the General Manager. Please note that the essential job functions listed here are not all-inclusive, rather they indicate the types of activities normally performed by this position and, therefore, may be modified and revised. Other duties may be required and assigned from time-to-time. 1. Supervise the day-to-day operation of housekeeping and laundry. 2. Complete all identified responsibilities of housekeeping and laundry. 3. Responsible for inspecting and approving the work completed by the housekeeping and laundry teams. 4. Create and maintain daily housekeeping boards. 5. Clean bathtubs, toilets, sinks, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, floor surfaces and stairs, and light fixtures in guest rooms and other hotel areas by using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending and stooping. 6. Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents. 7. Strip beds and make beds, change bed linens, which may require lifting bedspreads weighing a maximum of 50 pounds. 8. Dust all furniture, fixtures, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly in guest rooms, public areas, offices, breakroom and laundry area. 9. Empty trash cans, and push and pull vacuum throughout guest rooms and/or other identified areas in the hotel. 10. Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest rooms as well as supplies in public restrooms, break areas and laundry area. 11. Complete inventory on the 15th and last day of the month. 12. Sign for room keys, retrieve, push to assigned rooms and restock heavy cart. Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for room. 13. Ensure each guest room is to the hotel's standards prior to releasing to the front desk. 14. Sort linens and load laundry into washer and add specified cleaning agents. 15. Take wet, clean laundry items and dry as directed. 16. Sort and folder and/or hang clean dried laundry items. 17. Monitor cleaning supply inventories and equipment maintenance issues. 18. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis. 19. Perform any other job related duties as assigned. Must be willing to pitch in and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. 3. Knowledge of housekeeping cost control accountability, chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment. 4. Knowledge of key control, security and safety measures. 5. Ability to speak English and interact with guests and other employees in a courteous, empathetic and discreet manner. 6.
