YOUR POSITION WITH TNC

The Finance Project Manager II leads medium scale, complex, business-critical Finance projects. This is a matrixed position that will reside with the IT Project Management Office but report to and support Finance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Finance Project Manager II manages and leads medium-scale, complex Finance projects. For these projects, they establish project goals and success factors, develops project plans, budgets and schedules with input and buy-in from key stakeholders and team members, and lead the project teams to successfully achieve those goals in the most cost-effective and time-saving manner possible. Throughout the project lifecycle, the FinanceProject Manager II monitors and measures project progress, conducts corrective action as necessary communicates project status information to all stakeholders, performs risk management, issue resolution and conflict management, and controls project scope and quality. They ensure coordination between multiple TNC business units (such as Legal, HR etc.) the Finance department, consultants, vendors and volunteers. They obtain go/no-go decisions at all project decision points from the Steering Committee and identifies and obtains approval for all project deliverables from the appropriate business review teams. They lead the cross-organizational, cross-functional project team in using industry standard methodologies and processes, and ensures all organizational standards are met. The FinanceProject Manager II works with senior Finance management to develop and enhance Finance methodologies, processes and standards as applicable. May manage a multidisciplinary team of professional and support staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE

Develop and deliver a project management program encompassing all the details of a project to the team members.
Set deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of the project.
Collaborate effectively with internal groups and outside consultants, supervise processes and maintain integrity of organizational technology standards.
Perform proactive issue and risk management.
Establish appropriate program/project level governance and lead the meetings to inform stakeholders and obtain decisions on critical project issues.
Defines and implements change management initiatives as part of program/project execution
Effectively manage project budgets.
Participate in negotiations for complex and/or sensitive agreements.
Lead/participate in the procurement process which could include RFP development, contract oversight and vendor performance management
Well versed in industry best practices, and an ability to adapt them to TNC's organization and culture.
Maintains confidentiality of frequently sensitive information.
Ability to work under stress during peak workload periods.
Willing to travel, work long hours and weekends, as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, information technology or related field, and 3 years of progressive experience managing business-led projects.
Experience using project management techniques and tools including office tools such as the Microsoft Office suite/Project and SmartSheet.
Experience managing a project team and the planning and managing aspects of medium term projects.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated.
Project management certification preferred.
Effectively communicates via presentations, conversations and documents.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex, medium-sized projects in a large, decentralized organization.
Strong dedication to the development of customer-centric standards and solutions.
Well versed in industry best practices, and an ability to adapt them to TNC's organization and culture.
Critical thinker with demonstrated problem-solving skills.
Results driven.
Experience working with budgets and/or producing cost/benefit and risk analyses.
