Dematic Senior Global Controls Engineer in Kaunas, Lithuania

In this role you along with an engineering team will create standard logistics system building blocks for usage globally by the operations organization. To do this you will work as part of a cross functional team of highly experienced mechanical, controls, and contract engineers. These building blocks will provide for a backbone of all standard offerings and can be configured and reused in flexible ways to rapidly deploy customer solutions. The customer of these efforts is the operations side of the Dematic business focusing on projects. This includes all global regions including the APAC, China, EMEA, and NA.


  • Create and commercialize for internal Dematic usage standard engineered functional building blocks

  • Understand international regional requirements to ensure code compliance

  • Work with a diverse cross functional international organization and various subject matter experts

  • Engineer controls content for standard components, modules, solutions for repeated use within the operations side of the organization

  • Tasks include generating controls layouts, drawings, and software

  • Coordinate with the Product and Commercialization Program Managers on requirements and deliverables

  • Provide feedback on challenges and recommendations for process, tool, and product improvements to drive organization efficiencies and best in class customer offerings


  • Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science degree preferred

Knowledge / Qualifications:

  • 4+ years logistics Engineering experience or equivalent

  • 3+ Years total leadership experience

  • Controls Knowledge & Experience

  • Automation industry knowledge and controls systems background

  • Experience with real-time controls hardware, devices, and networks

  • Experience with near real-time operating systems or PLCs

  • Siemens S7 TIA Portal and Rockwell Studio 5000 Preferred

  • Experience with visualization, HMI, and SCADA technologies

  • Key technology knowledge helpful (DMS, SRM, Sorters, etc)

  • Experience with developing scalable, modular, performance-driven systems

  • Exceptional team skills with the ability to drive collaboration and partnerships across various parts of an organization

  • Experience in distributed work environments

  • Travel to customer and non-customer sites both domestic and international with travel around 20%
