Kelly Services Forklift Operator in Kansas city, Kansas
Employee is responsible to operate a forklift in a safe and efficient manner to move raw materials or finished goods while maintaining the flow of products as assigned. Comply with all FNG Texas policies and plant rules and take direction from supervision Employee must inspect his forklift each shift and update the forklift inspection log Maintain a clean work station prior to, during and after each shift Assist in training of fellow employees as directed by supervision All other duties as assigned Able to operate a forklift in a safe and efficent manner as established by management High School Diploma or GED Able to read and write in English. Must be able to understand documents such as safety rules and work instructions Ability to interpret instructions furnished in writing, oral or diagram form Can distinguish differences in color The physical demands described here are representative of thoses that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to walk, bend, push, pull and use hands and fingers to handle, feel, grasp, or operate a forklift. The employee will be required to lift up to 50 pounds to move product or to adjust the forks on his machine. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color acuity, peripherl vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The work environment described here is representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving equipment, mechanical presses and assembly fixtures. All work is performed inside a building but temperature levels are dependent on outside weather conditions. Moderate noise levels are experienced.
