Job Description Summary

Support CPI’s Vision, Mission, and Core Values. Responsible for operating the mobile tire repair equipment, the upkeep of the assigned equipment / supplies, and performs the tire repair at the site while supporting tire sales. Ensures compliance with CPI policies, regulations, procedures, and practices including all local, state, and federal laws.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide a positive attitude to customers and peers through providing outstanding and courteous customer service.

  • Arrive when your shift is to begin and work the assigned hours.

  • Follow the safety guidelines and safety programs established by CPI and complete safety reports and required records.

  • Follow DOT regulations.

  • Check fire extinguishers monthly.

  • Mandatory cleanliness both inside and outside of trucks maintaining an attractive appearance at all times.

  • Expected to provide customer service on evenings, weekends, and when on call.

  • Responsible for the repair of customer / company tires and related services.

  • Requires good mechanical aptitude combined with the interest and capacity to learn tire application, construction, and product knowledge assisting customers with their needs.

  • Responsible for maintenance of supplies and inventory necessary to perform tire repairs.

  • Perform accurate tire and tube inventory counts.

  • Perform accurate and timely completion of work orders.

  • Responsible for the tire truck and tire truck equipment maintenance and repair.

  • Responsible for maintaining daily truck maintenance logbook and yearly inspections.

  • Inform the Operations Manager of operational, customer, vendors, or employee issues that may arise.

Education and Qualifications

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Minimum of one year related experience and/or training. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Required: Valid driver’s license. A CDL is a plus.

Physical Demands

PCP Level: 4

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will have to exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and /or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly. Exerting weight exceeding 100 pounds will require two people to lift. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places and outside weather conditions: extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
