Eaton Corporation Division Purchasing Manager in Juarez, Mexico
Eaton’s Bussmann division is currently seeking a Division Purchasing Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Juarez facility.
The Division Purchasing Manager is responsible for manages all procurement, activities within the Bussmann UL division to include the Juarez, LaGrange, Ellisville manufacturing facilities and purchase resale goods. Responsibilities include procurement, supply chain optimization, inventory management, rough cut capacity planning (as part of SIOP process), materials cost out, and supply chain resiliency. The position effectively supports our manufacturing and customer service areas to meet Sales and Inventory objectives for the division.
Some activities related with the position will be:
Establishes standardized procurement processes that minimize inventory and meet customer delivery expectations.
Establishes and implements a comprehensive procurement strategy to support the production plans and sales forecasts for the facility taking into account supply chain resiliency.
Ensures key performance metrics, including inventory days on hand, customer delivery performance, buyer performance, and cost are met.
Monitors and ensures supplier performance in delivery to the manufacturing facility meets production needs.
Supports implementation of material cost out projects identified by Division Supply Chain team or Category Managers.
Manages third party manufacturing / contractors as well as purchase resale providers.
Analyzes and evaluates inventory and delivery problems to recommend and/or implement solution to optimize inventory levels and customer service through materials availability.
Ensures for overall data integrity of ERP system to maintain strong ERP health performance for the manufacturing plant.
Plans, develops and maintains an effective organizational structure that ensures the selection, development and motivation of qualified personnel throughout the department’s various functions.
Creates a work environment where employees are cooperatively involved in attaining the objectives of organization.
Drives innovation and continuous improvement mindset and approach into the department through training and application of lean six sigma tools and the Eaton Business System.
Creates and drives culture of ownership through an understanding of Plant, Division, and Company goals and objectives.
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in an engineering or business discipline
Master’s degree preferred
Minimum 5 years of purchasing or supply chain experience in a high mix environment
Minimum 3 years managerial/supervisor experience
Ability to work efficiently in a high demand, team oriented, and fast-paced environment.
Solid problem-solving skills and solid communication skills are a must along with flexibility.
10% travel expected
Intermediate knowledge on MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) preferred
SAP experience is a plus
