About the Position:
We are currently seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to add to our Johnstown, CO team! Within the office located in the Denver Tech Center, the Electrical Design Engineer provides electrical design services from concept through construction for all of the electrical team's projects. This position will serve in the design phases of projects in a lead design role and will be responsible for updating, editing, and revising design elements during the construction phase of the project.
Assists in the electrical design calculations (low/high power distribution systems, lighting, security/fire systems, data/telecommunication systems, etc.).
Assumes limited degree of judgment on performing routine aspects of electrical engineering assignments.
Assists in the coordination of projects with other disciplines and project consultants
Applies standard practices and techniques in specific situations, adjusts and correlates data, recognizes discrepancies in results, and follows operations through a series of related and detailed steps or processes.
Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from a four-year, board-approved engineering curriculum,
Or six years of credits of combined board-approved engineering technology curriculum and/or engineering work experience.
Possesses Engineering Intern certification or has the ability to take the Fundamentals of Engineering exam within six months of hire.
- Typically, 1 to 4 years of mechanical engineering experience after educational requirements.
Possesses basic knowledge in the principles and practices of electrical engineering and architecture.
Possesses a basic understanding of concepts and processes associated with Building Information Modeling (BIM).
Possesses a general knowledge of building codes, National Electrical Code, industry standards, and design criteria related to electrical systems.
Is proficient in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
Is familiar with LEED and energy efficient design.
Understands project schedules and budgets; is able to work efficiently within project guidelines.
Communicates in a timely and effective manner within the team and with other disciplines working on the project.
Ability to work on multiple tasks and projects.
A disciplined, thoughtful performer within a team environment.
Conducts oneself consistently in a positive and professional manner.
Ability to multitask and establish priorities.
Ability to maintain a high-performance level in a fast-paced, accountable environment.
The estimated starting salary pay range for this role is $58,000-$68,000
