HUFCOR INC. Helpdesk Desktop Technician in JANESVILLE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Summary: The Helpdesk/Desktop Technician is the initial point of contact for all employees requiring support on desktop hardware, software and/or other IT maintained systems. This position oversees the Hufcor system providing feedback and resolution as well as tracking of user help requests. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: *Provide initial support to employees in Janesville and Regional Offices to resolve issues as requested and perform timely escalation of issues which cannot be resolved immediately. *Provide technical support to end users on a variety of issues. *Respond to telephone calls, email, walk-ups, and other requests for technical support. *Identify, research, and resolve technical problems. *Document, track, and monitor the incidents in the Helpdesk system to ensure a timely resolution. *Proactively follow up with customers or team members to verify solutions were successful and satisfaction resolution. *Communicate special circumstances to end-users i.e. system down time or other system problems. *Work with second-level support resources i.e. site services and application developers. *Troubleshoot login, printing and job issues for iSeries client connections. *Grant access to new and existing users on Network as directed and manage network user account administration. *Remove / inactivate users on Network as directed. *Special projects as assigned (e.g. mass deployments). *Crosstrain within internal IT group. *Document / update Helpdesk processes and procedures. *Maintain Helpdesk system, including help desk requests such as: oDesktop hardware and software oNetworking, printers, copiers oInforXA profiles and work management oUser initial profile setup and administration oTelecommunications and cell services oManagement of patches and updates *All other special projects and duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: *In-depth knowledge of networks and PC-based hardware and software, including implementation activities *Excellent organization skills, detail oriented and able to set priorities *Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written *Knowledge of networking and connectivity, particularly for multi-user environments *Knowledge of Office 365 and supporting MS Teams and Outlook *PC proficiency and familiarity with various software packages *Problem solving / troubleshooting skills *Ability to maintain confidentiality *Efficient at multi-tasking *Good organization skills *Ability to work under high stress at times *Ability to evaluate new external program and suggest when appropriate *Ability to come up with creative and innovative solutions *Ability to work extra hours, when required *Strong technical skills,...
