As a Cash Remittance Representative , you will work by various methods to research un - applied cash to collect and / or post revenue for the organization. You will work with third party insurance payers and banking institutions on a daily basis. This position is full - time (40 hours / week) with our site operating from Monday - Friday. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime, holidays, and / or weekends.

Focused efforts on monitoring deposits via ERA and lock boxes for daily verification
Work with all internal and external web sites for balancing deposits
Ensure all deposits are entered into system on a daily basis
Responsible for creating cash and denial batch headers
Pull and batch all check copies and Explanation of Benefits that do not post electronically for manual application
Enter all checks into system for Auto remit electronic lock box deposits
Evaluate and respond to all emails request for any deposits issues in order to resolve in a timely matter
Make contact with internal and external customers for any issues relating to bank deposits
Regular research involving both the bank web and internal portal
Alert Manager for any problems or delays with deposits
Maintain Compliance and HIPAA standards at all times
Meet or exceed daily production standards
Meet or exceed daily quality standards
Ability to work on various other projects as needed
Meets the performance goals established for the position in the areas of: efficiency, accuracy, quality, patient and client satisfaction and attendance

High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
1+ years of medical billing experience
Basic navigation skills with Microsoft Excel (ability to create, edit, and save a basic spreadsheet), Microsoft Word (ability to create, edit, and save a basic document), and Microsoft Outlook (ability to send emails)
Ability to work Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM or 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Monday through Friday.
If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app,Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) orsimilar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealthGroup building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas. In addition,employees must comply with any state and local masking orders
Associate's Degree (or higher)
Background in medical / healthcare setting
Direct healthcare data collection experience
