PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

We are looking for a talented Senior Accountant to join our corporate office in Irvine, CA. In this role, you will report to the Director of Revenue Operations and help us keep pace with the quickly evolving landscape. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

  • Manage client rebates and discounts for US and international locations by reviewing contracts and set up Excel files to calculate the rebates or discounts. Maintain the master list of clients with rebates and/or discounts in order to pull data, calculate the rebates and discounts and prepare monthly journal entries.

  • Track service credit usage and make necessary accounting entries.

  • Manage the referral fee process by calculating fees for client referrals and partner with other teams to ensure fees are processed in a timely manner.

  • Perform detailed Vender Management Systems (VMS) reconciliations on client accounts with known issues. Identify reasons for discrepancies and work with the VMS or internal teams to make changes necessary to resolve them. Prepare documentation and journal entries needed to ensure the accounting is correct.

  • Evaluate VMS discrepancies found by the AR team.

  • Review and understand the Mexico contracts by setting up Excel worksheets to track the billing in Great Plains and Pegaso (Mexico’s invoicing system) for each engagement. Reconcile the billing and payments and prepare the monthly journal entries.

  • Manage clients billed for specialized products and services. Create and maintain master spreadsheet with all special client arrangements. Work with the other internal groups to ensure they provide the information needed to bill each client. Provide information to the Invoicing team to ensure on-time billing.

  • Assist the Revenue Operations team with gathering and providing information to support internal and external audits.

  • Other special projects or process improvement efforts as needed.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance

  • 5+ years of Accounting experience

  • Attention to detail and thoroughness a must

  • Strong PC skills including excellent Excel skills i.e. pivot tables and V lookups
